Mission Partnership Project

Thanksgiving Gift Cards

We are currently collecting money for Walmart Gift Cards for ECCHO recipients specifically selected by ECCHO. The goal is to get enough money for 15 families to purchase food for their Thanksgiving dinners. This can be included in your regular offering, just be sure to indicate "Thanksgiving Cards" on your check or envelope. Contact Sherri Chappell for more information.

Church Initiative

Fellowship Luncheon

Fellowship Luncheon

On Sunday, February 7th, we will be having a fellowship lunch right after morning worship in our Fellowship Hall.

Join us for an afternoon of good food, warm conversation, and great company at our upcoming church Fellowship Luncheon. Whether you’ve been attending for years or are walking through our doors for the first time, there is a place saved at the table just for you.

This is a potluck-style meal, so if you’re able and would like to bring a favorite main dish, side, salad, or dessert to share, we’d love to taste it!

Most importantly: please do not let an empty dish keep you away. Our church family always provides an abundant spread with plenty to go around. Your presence is what matters most to us—come hungry, come as you are, and let us share a meal together. We can’t wait to see you there!

Adult Sunday School

Sunday School

Join us every Sunday morning at 10:00 AM in the Church Fellowship Hall for an interactive, verse-by-verse exploration of Scripture. Together, we examine the historical context, theological depth, and practical daily applications of God’s Word in a warm and welcoming environment.

Wednesday Morning Men's Prayer Breakfast

Bible

Join us every Wednesday at 9:00 AM in the Fellowship Hall for fresh coffee, breakfast treats, and warm fellowship. Led by Pastor Scott Hoppe, we gather mid-week to share a meal, read and reflect on Scripture, and lift up our church, loved ones, and community in prayer.

Bates Presbyterian Chancel Choir

Choir

"Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth." – Psalm 96:1!

We believe and know that music is a gift from God that unites hearts, strengthens faith, and draws us closer to Him.

We are a joyful, close-knit group of Christ centered friends dedicated to lifting our voices in praise and leading our congregation in worship. While we have sung together for many years, there is always room for new friends. So, whether you’ve been singing for years or are just discovering your voice, we would love to find a place for you.

Our choir is made up of volunteers from all walks of life (representing teachers, secretaries, homemakers, volunteers with non-profits, lawyers, engineers, and IT professionals) who share a love for music and ministry. We rehearse once a week in the Chancel choir loft to prepare music for Sunday services. To prepare for special holidays, we join together for evening rehearsals that are scheduled monthly.

The highlight of our choir activity is a Christmas carry-in dinner held annually at the home of one of our members. We present seasonal music and dedicate a worship service to Easter and Christmas lead by the Chancel Choir.

Join Us

We welcome new members year-round! If you can carry a tune and have a heart for worship, we’d love to have you. Weekly rehearsals occur on Sunday mornings at 10:00 AM. We gather in the sanctuary Chancel to prepare for the 11:00 AM worship service.

Come meet the group, and see how your voice can be part of something beautiful.

No auditions are required — just come with a willing heart and a joyful spirit.

Take a minute to contact Jackie Hoppe, Bates choral director, to chat about becoming part of the music at Bates.
